LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT)- A Laurel County man is facing a burglary charge after he was found in another man’s home.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call Friday evening about a burglary in progress at a home off Kentucky 552 near Lily.
When police arrived, the homeowner told them he heard his dogs barking downstairs. That’s when he went downstairs and found 24-year-old Joshua Hampton in his kitchen, drinking milk and eating ice cream.
The homeowner told police he did not know Hampton.
Deputies later determined Hampton unlawfully entered the home.
Hampton was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center. He is charged with burglary in the second degree.
